Jeremiah 2:32

32 aCan a virgin forget her ornaments,
or a bride her attire?
Yet bmy people have forgotten me
days without number.

Jeremiah 3:11-14

11And the Lord said to me, cFaithless Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12Go, and proclaim these words toward dthe north, and say,

e“‘Return, faithless Israel,

declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for fI am merciful,

declares the Lord;
gI will not be angry forever.
13 hOnly acknowledge your guilt,
that you rebelled against the Lord your God
and scattered your favors among foreigners under ievery green tree,
and that you have not obeyed my voice,

declares the Lord.
14 jReturn, O faithless children,

declares the Lord;
kfor I am your master;
I will take you, one from a city and two from a family,
and I will bring you to Zion.

Jeremiah 7:24-26

24 lBut they did not obey or incline their ear, mbut walked in their own counsels and nthe stubbornness of their evil hearts, and owent backward and not forward. 25From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, pI have persistently sent all my servants the prophets to them, day after day. 26 qYet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, rbut stiffened their neck. sThey did worse than their fathers.

Hosea 4:16

16Like a stubborn heifer,
Israel is stubborn;
can the Lord now feed them
like a lamb in a broad pasture?

Hosea 11:7

7My people are bent ton turning away from me,
and though uthey call out to the Most High,
he shall not raise them up at all.
