36 aHow much you go about,
changing your way!
You shall be bput to shame by Egypt
as you were put to shame by Assyria.

Jeremiah 4:30

30And you, O desolate one,
what do you mean that you dress in scarlet,
cthat you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold,
dthat you enlarge your eyes with paint?
In vain you beautify yourself.
eYour lovers despise you;
they seek your life.

Jeremiah 22:22

22 hThe wind shall shepherd all your shepherds,

because of all your evil.

Jeremiah 38:22

The Lord’s Mercy on Israel

15And there I will give her her vineyards
and make the Valley of Achor
 Achor means trouble; compare Joshua 7:26
a door of hope.
And there she shall answer amas in the days of her youth,
as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt.
16“And anin that day, declares the Lord, you will call me ‘My Husband,’ and no longer will you call me ‘My Baal.’
