Jeremiah 5:30-31

30 An appalling and ^fhorrible thing
has happened in the land:

^hmy people love to have it so,
but what will you do when the end comes?

7 “Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 8 ^adAs I live, declares the Lord God, surely because ^aemy sheep have become a prey, and my sheep have become food for all the wild beasts, since there was no shepherd, and because my shepherds have not searched for my sheep, but the shepherds have fed themselves, and have not fed my sheep, 9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 10 Thus says the Lord God, ^afBehold, I am against the shepherds, and ^agI will require my sheep at their hand and ^ahput a stop to their feeding the sheep. ^aiNo longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. ^ajI will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them.

Zechariah 11:8

8 In one month ^akI destroyed the three shepherds. But I became impatient with them, and they also detested me.
