Jeremiah 20:2

2Then aPashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him bin the stocks that were in the upper cBenjamin Gate of the house of the Lord.

Jeremiah 26:20-24

20There was another man who prophesied in the name of the Lord, Uriah the son of Shemaiah from dKiriath-jearim. He prophesied against this city and against this land in words like those of Jeremiah. 21And when eKing Jehoiakim, with all his warriors and all the officials, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death. But when Uriah heard of it, he was afraid and fled and escaped to Egypt. 22Then fKing Jehoiakim sent to Egypt certain men, gElnathan the son of hAchbor and others with him, 23and they took Uriah from Egypt and brought him to King Jehoiakim, iwho struck him down with the sword and dumped his dead body into the burial place of the common people.

24But the hand of jAhikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah so that he was not given over to the people to be put to death.

Jeremiah 29:26-27

26‘The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, to have kcharge in the house of the Lord lover every madman who prophesies, to put him in mthe stocks and neck irons. 27Now why have you not rebuked Jeremiah nof Anathoth who is prophesying to you?

Jeremiah 37:15-16

15And the officials were enraged at Jeremiah, and they beat him oand imprisoned him in the house of Jonathan the secretary, for it had been made a prison.

16 pWhen Jeremiah had come to the dungeon cells and remained there many days,

Jeremiah 38:4-6

4Then the officials said to the king, qLet this man be put to death, rfor he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man is not seeking sthe welfare of this people, but their harm.” 5King Zedekiah said, “Behold, he is in your hands, tfor the king can do nothing against you.” 6So they took Jeremiah uand cast him into the cistern of Malchiah, the king’s son, which was in vthe court of the guard, letting Jeremiah down wby ropes. xAnd there was no water in the cistern, but only mud, and yJeremiah sank in the mud.
