Jeremiah 22:11-12

Message to the Sons of Josiah

11For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and awho went away from this place: “He shall return here no more, 12but bin the place where they have carried him captive, there shall he die, and he shall never see this land again.”

Jeremiah 22:24-27

24 c“As I live, declares the Lord, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were dthe signet ring on my right hand, yet I would tear you off 25and egive you finto the hand of those who seek your life, into the hand of those of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans. 26 gI will hurl you and hthe mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born, and there you shall die. 27But to the land to which they will long to return, there they shall not return.”

Jeremiah 24:8-10

8But thus says the Lord: Like ithe bad figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten, so will I treat jZedekiah the king of Judah, his officials, the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who kdwell in the land of Egypt. 9I will make them la horror

10And I will send rsword, famine, and pestilence upon them, until they shall be utterly destroyed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.”

Jeremiah 39:5-7

5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in sthe plains of Jericho. And when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, at tRiblah, in the land of Hamath; uand he passed sentence on him. 6The king of Babylon vslaughtered the sons of Zedekiah at wRiblah before his eyes, and the king of Babylon xslaughtered all the nobles of Judah. 7 yHe put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains to take him to Babylon.

Jeremiah 52:8-11

8But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him. 9Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him. 10The king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and also slaughtered all the officials of Judah at zRiblah. 11 aaHe put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him in chains, and the king of Babylon took him to Babylon, and put him in prison abtill the day of his death.

Lamentations 4:20

20 acThe breath of our nostrils, adthe Lord’s anointed,
was captured aein their pits,
of whom we said, af“Under his shadow
we shall live among the nations.”

Ezekiel 12:12-13

12 agAnd the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder at dusk, and shall go out. ahThey shall dig through the wall to bring him out through it. aiHe shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes. 13 ajAnd I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare. And akI will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, alyet he shall not see it, and he shall die there.
