Jeremiah 23:1

The Righteous Branch

1 ^a“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.

Ezekiel 13:19

19 You have profaned me among my people ^bfor handfuls of barley ^cand for pieces of bread, putting to death souls who should not die and keeping alive souls who should not live, by your lying to my people, who listen to lies.

Ezekiel 34:8-10

8 ^dAs I live, declares the Lord God, surely because ^emy sheep have become a prey, and my sheep have become food for all the wild beasts, since there was no shepherd, and because my shepherds have not searched for my sheep, but the shepherds have fed themselves, and have not fed my sheep, 9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 10 Thus says the Lord God, ^fBehold, I am against the shepherds, and ^gI will require my sheep at their hand and ^hput a stop to their feeding the sheep. ⁱNo longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. ^jI will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them.

Micah 3:1-3

Rulers and Prophets Denounced

1 And I said:
^kHear, you heads of Jacob
and rulers of the house of Israel!
^lIs it not for you to know justice?—
2 you ^mwho hate the good and love the evil,
ⁿwho tear the skin from off my people ^{▼▼Hebrew from off them}
and their flesh from off their bones,
3 ^pwho eat the flesh of my people,
and flay their skin from off them,
and break their bones in pieces
and chop them up like meat in a pot,
like flesh in a cauldron.

Micah 3:11-12

11 ^qIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
^rits priests teach for a price;
^sits prophets practice divination for money;
^tyet they lean on the Lord and ^usay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
^vNo disaster shall come upon us.”
