Jer 23:10-14 | ESV | STEP | For the land is full of adulterers ; because of the curse the land mourns , and the pastures of the wilderness are dried up . Their course is evil , and their might is not right .

Jeremiah 23:10-14

10 ^aFor the land is full of adulterers;
^bbecause of the curse ^cthe land mourns,
and ^dthe pastures of the wilderness are dried up.
^eTheir course is evil,
and their might is not right.
11 ^f“Both prophet and priest are ungodly;
even ^gin my house I have found their evil,

declares the Lord.
12 ^hTherefore their way shall be to them
like slippery paths ⁱin the darkness,
into which they shall be driven and fall,
for I will bring disaster upon them
^jin the year of their punishment,

declares the Lord.
13 In the prophets of ^kSamaria
^lI saw an unsavory thing:
^mthey prophesied by Baal
ⁿand led my people Israel astray.
14 But in the prophets of Jerusalem
I have seen a horrible thing:
^othey commit adultery and walk in lies;
^pthey strengthen the hands of evildoers,
so that no one turns from his evil;
^qall of them have become like Sodom to me,
^rand its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”
