Jeremiah 23:32

32Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, declares the Lord, and who tell them and alead my people astray by their lies and their recklessness, when bI did not send them or charge them. So they do not profit this people at all, declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 27:14-15

14 cDo not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ dfor it is a lie that they are prophesying to you. 15I have not sent them, declares the Lord, but ethey are prophesying falsely in my name, with the result that I will drive you out and you will perish, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.”

Lamentations 2:14

14 fYour prophets have seen for you
false and deceptive visions;
gthey have not exposed your iniquity
to hrestore your fortunes,
ibut have seen for you joracles
that are false and misleading.

Ezekiel 13:3-16

3Thus says the Lord God, Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel. 5 kYou have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the Lord. 6 lThey have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the Lord,’ mwhen the Lord has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word. 7Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, nwhenever you have said, ‘Declares the Lord,’ although I have not spoken?”

8Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Because you have uttered falsehood and seen lying visions, therefore behold, oI am against you, declares the Lord God. 9My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who give lying divinations. They shall not be in the council of my people, pnor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, qnor shall they enter the land of Israel. rAnd you shall know that I am the Lord God. 10Precisely because they have misled my people, ssaying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, tthese prophets smear it with whitewash,
Or plaster; also verses 11, 14, 15
11say to those who smear it with whitewash that it shall fall! vThere will be a deluge of rain, and you, O great hailstones, will fall, and a stormy wind break out. 12And when the wall falls, will it not be said to you, ‘Where is the coating with which you smeared it?’ 13Therefore thus says the Lord God: wI will make a stormy wind break out in my wrath, xand there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to make a full end. 14And I will break down the wall that you have smeared with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you shall perish in the midst of it, yand you shall know that I am the Lord. 15Thus will I spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have smeared it with whitewash, and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor those who smeared it, 16the prophets of Israel who prophesied concerning Jerusalem zand saw visions of peace for her, when there was no peace, declares the Lord God.

Hosea 9:7

7 aaThe days of punishment have come;
the days of recompense have come;
Israel shall know it.
abThe prophet is a fool;
the man of the spirit is mad,
because of your great iniquity
and great hatred.

Micah 2:11

11If a man should go about and acutter wind and lies,
saying, “I will preach to you adof wine and strong drink,”
he would be the preacher for this people!

Micah 3:5-6

5 Thus says the Lord concerning aethe prophets
who lead my people astray,
afwho cryPeace
when they have something to eat,
but declare war against him
who puts nothing into their mouths.
6Therefore agit shall be night to you, without vision,
and darkness to you, without divination.
ahThe sun shall go down on the prophets,
and the day shall be black over them;
