Jeremiah 24:2

2One basket had very good figs, alike first-ripe figs, but the other basket had bvery bad figs, so bad that they could not be eaten.

Jeremiah 24:5

5Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the exiles from Judah, cwhom I have sent away from this place to the land of the Chaldeans.

Jeremiah 29:16-18

16thus says the Lord concerning dthe king who sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your kinsmen who did not go out with you into exile: 17Thus says the Lord of hosts, behold, I am sending on them esword, famine, and pestilence, and I will make them like fvile figs that are so rotten they cannot be eaten. 18I will pursue them with gsword, famine, and pestilence, hand will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, ito be a curse, a terror, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations jwhere I have driven them,
