Jeremiah 25:11

11 aThis whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and bthese nations shall serve the king of Babylon cseventy years.

18 dJerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials, eto make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day;

Ezekiel 33:28-29

28 pAnd I will make the land a desolation and a waste, and qher proud might shall come to an end, and rthe mountains of Israel shall be so desolate that none will pass through. 29 sThen they will know that I am the Lord, when I have made the land a desolation and a waste because of all their abominations that they have committed.

Daniel 9:2

2in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived in the books the number of years that, according to tthe word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass before the end of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years.

Daniel 9:18

18 uO my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see vour desolations, and wthe city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy.
