Jeremiah 25:9

9 abehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, bmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, cand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation.

Jeremiah 25:14-27

14 dFor many nations eand great kings shall make slaves even of them, fand I will recompense them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”

The Cup of the Lord’s Wrath

15Thus the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me: gTake from my hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. 16They shall drink and stagger and be crazed because of hthe sword that I am sending among them.”

17So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand, iand made all the nations to whom the Lord sent me drink it: 18 jJerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials, kto make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day; 19 lPharaoh king of Egypt, his servants, his officials, all his people, 20and mall the mixed tribes among them; all the kings of nthe land of Uz and all the kings of othe land of the Philistines ( pAshkelon, qGaza, Ekron, and the remnant of rAshdod); 21 sEdom, tMoab, and the sons of uAmmon; 22all the kings of vTyre, all the kings of wSidon, and the kings of the coastland across xthe sea; 23 yDedan, zTema, aaBuz, and all who cut abthe corners of their hair; 24all the ackings of Arabia and all the kings of adthe mixed tribes who dwell in the desert; 25all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of aeElam, and all the kings of afMedia; 26all the kings of agthe north, far and near, one after another, and all the kingdoms of the world that are on the face of the earth. Daniel 3:1-7

Nebuchadnezzar’s Golden Image

1King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
and its breadth six cubits. He set it up on amthe plain of Dura, in anthe province of Babylon.
2Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent to gather aothe satraps, the prefects, and apthe governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 3Then aqthe satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 4And the herald arproclaimed aloud, “You are commanded, O aspeoples, nations, and languages, 5that when you hear the atsound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you auare to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. 6And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately avbe cast into a burning fiery furnace.” 7Therefore, as soon as all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, all awthe peoples, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Habakkuk 2:15-16

15 axWoe to him aywho makes his neighbors drink
you pour out your wrath and make them drunk,
in order to gaze azat their nakedness!
16You will have your fill baof shame instead of glory.
bbDrink, yourself, and show your uncircumcision!
bcThe cup in the Lord’s right hand
will come around to you,
and bdutter shame will come upon your glory!
