Jeremiah 27:14-15

14 aDo not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ bfor it is a lie that they are prophesying to you. 15I have not sent them, declares the Lord, but cthey are prophesying falsely in my name, with the result that I will drive you out and you will perish, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.”

Jeremiah 28:2-3

2Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: dI have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3 eWithin ftwo years I will bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord’s house, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.

Jeremiah 28:15

15And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, gthe Lord has not sent you, hand you have made this people trust in a lie.

Jeremiah 29:21-23

21Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, iwho are prophesying a lie to you in my name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall strike them down before your eyes. 22 jBecause of them kthis curse shall be used by all the exiles from Judah in Babylon: “The Lord make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, lwhom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,” 23because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, mthey have committed adultery with their neighborswives, and nthey have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. oI am the one who knows, pand I am witness, declares the Lord.’”

Ezekiel 13:3-14

3Thus says the Lord God, Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 4Your prophets have been like jackals among ruins, O Israel. 5 qYou have not gone up into the breaches, or built up a wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in battle in the day of the Lord. 6 rThey have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the Lord,’ swhen the Lord has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word. 7Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, twhenever you have said, ‘Declares the Lord,’ although I have not spoken?”

8Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Because you have uttered falsehood and seen lying visions, therefore behold, uI am against you, declares the Lord God. 9My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who give lying divinations. They shall not be in the council of my people, vnor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, wnor shall they enter the land of Israel. xAnd you shall know that I am the Lord God. 10Precisely because they have misled my people, ysaying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, zthese prophets smear it with whitewash,
Or plaster; also verses 11, 14, 15
11say to those who smear it with whitewash that it shall fall! abThere will be a deluge of rain, and you, O great hailstones, will fall, and a stormy wind break out. 12And when the wall falls, will it not be said to you, ‘Where is the coating with which you smeared it?’ 13Therefore thus says the Lord God: acI will make a stormy wind break out in my wrath, adand there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to make a full end. 14And I will break down the wall that you have smeared with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you shall perish in the midst of it, aeand you shall know that I am the Lord.

Ezekiel 13:22

22 afBecause you have disheartened the righteous falsely, although I have not grieved him, and agyou have encouraged the wicked, that ahhe should not turn from his evil way to save his life,

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13For such men are aifalse apostles, ajdeceitful workmen, akdisguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as alan angel of light. 15So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as amservants of righteousness. anTheir end will correspond to their deeds.
