Jeremiah 29:22-23

22 aBecause of them bthis curse shall be used by all the exiles from Judah in Babylon: “The Lord make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, cwhom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,” 23because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, dthey have committed adultery with their neighborswives, and ethey have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. fI am the one who knows, gand I am witness, declares the Lord.’”

Matthew 7:1-5

Judging Others

1 hJudge not, that you be not judged. 2 iFor with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and jwith the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but kdo not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Romans 2:1-2

God’s Righteous Judgment

1Therefore you have lno excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For min passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. 2We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things.

Romans 14:22

22The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. nBlessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves.
