Jeremiah 3:8-11

8 She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, ^aI had sent her away with ^ba decree of divorce. ^cYet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she too went ^dand played the whore. 9 Because she took her whoredom lightly, she polluted the land, committing adultery with ^estone and tree. 10 Yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to me ^fwith her whole heart, but in pretense, declares the Lord.”

11 And the Lord said to me, ^g“Faithless Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.

Ezekiel 16:47-51

47 ^hNot only did you walk in their ways and do according to their abominations; within a very little time ⁱyou were more corrupt than they in all your ways. 48 ^jAs I live, declares the Lord God, your sister ^kSodom and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done. 49 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, ^lexcess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and ^mdid an abomination before me. So ⁿI removed them, when I saw it. 51 ^oSamaria has not committed half your sins. You have committed more abominations than they, and ^phave made your sisters appear righteous by all the abominations that you have committed.
