Jeremiah 31:10-14
10 “Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,and declare it in the coastlands far away;
say, ‘He who scattered Israel will agather him,
and will keep him bas a shepherd keeps his flock.’
11 cFor the Lord has ransomed Jacob
and has redeemed him from dhands too strong for him.
12They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,
eand they shall be radiant fover the goodness of the Lord,
gover the grain, the wine, and the oil,
and over the young of the flock and the herd;
htheir life shall be like a watered garden,
iand they shall languish no more.
13 jThen shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
and the young men and the old shall be merry.
kI will turn their mourning into joy;
I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
14 lI will feast the soul of the priests with abundance,
and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness,
declares the Lord.”

Israel’s Joy and Restoration
14 mSing aloud, O daughter of Zion;shout, O Israel!
Rejoice and exult with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
15The Lord has taken away the judgments against you;
he has cleared away your enemies.
nThe King of Israel, othe Lord, is in your midst;
you shall never again fear evil.
16 pOn that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Fear not, O Zion;
qlet not your hands grow weak.
17 rThe Lord your God is in your midst,
sa mighty one who will save;
the will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

The Coming King of Zion
