Jeremiah 31:12-14

12They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,
aand they shall be radiant bover the goodness of the Lord,
cover the grain, the wine, and the oil,
and over the young of the flock and the herd;
dtheir life shall be like a watered garden,
eand they shall languish no more.
13 fThen shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
and the young men and the old shall be merry.
gI will turn their mourning into joy;
I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
14 hI will feast the soul of the priests with abundance,
and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness,

declares the Lord.”

Jeremiah 31:25

25For I will isatisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

Israel’s Joy and Restoration

14 jSing aloud, O daughter of Zion;
shout, O Israel!
Rejoice and exult with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
15The Lord has taken away the judgments against you;
he has cleared away your enemies.
kThe King of Israel, lthe Lord, is in your midst;
you shall never again fear evil.
16 mOn that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
Fear not, O Zion;
nlet not your hands grow weak.
17 oThe Lord your God is in your midst,
pa mighty one who will save;
qhe will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.
18I will gather those of you who mourn rfor the festival,
so that you will no longer suffer reproach.

at the time when I gather you together;
for I will make you renowned and praised
among all the peoples of the earth,
ywhen I restore your fortunes
before your eyes,” says the Lord.
