Jeremiah 31:18-19
18I have heard aEphraim grieving,‘You have disciplined me, and I was disciplined,
like an untrained calf;
bbring me back that I may be restored,
for you are the Lord my God.
19For after cI had turned away, I relented,
and after I was instructed, dI struck my thigh;
eI was ashamed, and I was confounded,
because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’

Him Whom They Have Pierced
10“And rI will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and spleas for mercy, so that, twhen they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, uthey shall mourn for him, vas one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.Acts 5:21
