Jeremiah 31:3

3the Lord appeared to him

Jeremiah 31:20

20 eIs Ephraim my dear son?
fIs he my darling child?
For as often as I speak against him,
I do remember him still.

I will surely have mercy on him,

Jeremiah 33:24-26

24“Have you not observed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight. 25Thus says the Lord: iIf I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth, 26then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. jFor I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

Micah 7:20

Zephaniah 3:14-20

Israel’s Joy and Restoration

14 mSing aloud, O daughter of Zion;
shout, O Israel!
Rejoice and exult with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
15The Lord has taken away the judgments against you;
he has cleared away your enemies.
nThe King of Israel, othe Lord, is in your midst;
you shall never again fear evil.
16 pOn that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
Fear not, O Zion;
qlet not your hands grow weak.
17 rThe Lord your God is in your midst,
sa mighty one who will save;
the will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.
18I will gather those of you who mourn ufor the festival,
so that you will no longer suffer reproach.

19Behold, at that time wI will deal
with all your oppressors.
And xI will save the lame
and gather the outcast,
and I will change ytheir shame into zpraise
and renown in all the earth.
20 aaAt that time I will bring you in,
at the time when I gather you together;
for I will make you renowned and praised
among all the peoples of the earth,
abwhen I restore your fortunes
before your eyes,” says the Lord.

Zechariah 9:9-11

The Coming King of Zion

9 acRejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
adBehold, aeyour king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
afhumble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 agI will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
and ahthe war horse from Jerusalem;
and the battle bow shall be cut off,
and aihe shall speak peace to the nations;
ajhis rule shall be from sea to sea,
and from akthe River to the ends of the earth.
11As for you also, because of althe blood of my covenant with you,
amI will set your prisoners free from anthe waterless pit.
