Jeremiah 34:21-22

21 And ^eZedekiah king of Judah and his officials I will give into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their lives, into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon ^fwhich has withdrawn from you. 22 Behold, ^gI will command, declares the Lord, and will ^hbring them back to this city. ⁱAnd they will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire. ^jI will make the cities of Judah a desolation ^kwithout inhabitant.”

Jeremiah 38:23

23 All your wives and ^lyour sons shall be led out to the Chaldeans, and you yourself shall not escape from their hand, but shall be seized by the king of Babylon, and this city shall be burned with fire.”

Jeremiah 39:2-8

2 In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city. 3 Then all ^mthe officials of the king of Babylon came ⁿand sat in the middle gate: Nergal-sar-ezer of Samgar, Nebu-sar-sekim ^othe Rab-saris, Nergal-sar-ezer the Rab-mag, with all the rest of the officers of the king of Babylon. 4 When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled, going out of the city at night by way of the king’s garden through the gate between the two walls; and they went toward ^pthe Arabah. 5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in ^qthe plains of Jericho. And when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, at ^rRiblah, in the land of Hamath; ^sand he passed sentence on him. 6 The king of Babylon ^tslaughtered the sons of Zedekiah at ^uRiblah before his eyes, and the king of Babylon ^vslaughtered all the nobles of Judah. 7 ^wHe put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains to take him to Babylon. 8 ^xThe Chaldeans burned the king’s house and the house of the people, ^yand broke down the walls of Jerusalem.
