Jeremiah 32:3

3For Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him, saying, “Why do you prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord: aBehold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall capture it;

Jeremiah 32:8

8Then Hanamel my cousin came to me in bthe court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Buy my field that is at cAnathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.

The Lord Promises Peace

1The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still dshut up in the court of the guard:

Jeremiah 37:21

21So King Zedekiah gave orders, and they committed Jeremiah to gthe court of the guard. And a loaf of bread was given him daily from the bakersstreet, huntil all the bread of the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in ithe court of the guard.

Jeremiah 38:6

6So they took Jeremiah jand cast him into the cistern of Malchiah, the king’s son, which was in kthe court of the guard, letting Jeremiah down lby ropes. mAnd there was no water in the cistern, but only mud, and nJeremiah sank in the mud.

Jeremiah 39:13-15

13So oNebuzaradan the captain of the guard, Nebushazban the Rab-saris, Nergal-sar-ezer the Rab-mag, pand all the chief officers of the king of Babylon 14sent and took Jeremiah from qthe court of the guard. They entrusted him to rGedaliah the son of sAhikam, son of tShaphan, that he should take him home. So uhe lived among the people.

15The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah vwhile he was shut up in the court of the guard:
