Jeremiah 32:40

40 aI will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. bAnd I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.

Jeremiah 33:24

24“Have you not observed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight.

Micah 7:18

God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion

18 cWho is a God like you, dpardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
efor the remnant of his inheritance?
fHe does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.

Romans 11:1-6

The Remnant of Israel

1I ask, then, ghas God rejected his people? By no means! For hI myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham,
Or one of the offspring of Abraham
a member of the tribe of Benjamin.
2 jGod has not rejected his people whom he kforeknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 3 lLord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” 4But what is God’s reply to him? m“I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5So too at the present time there is na remnant, chosen by grace. 6 oBut if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
