11 ^athe voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring ^bthank offerings to the house of the Lord:

^c“‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts,
for the Lord is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!’
^dFor I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

12 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^eIn this place that is waste, without man or beast, and in all of its cities, there shall again be ^fhabitations of shepherds ^gresting their flocks. 13 ^hIn the cities of the hill country, ⁱin the cities of the Shephelah, ^jand in the cities of the Negeb, in the land of Benjamin, ^kthe places about Jerusalem, ^land in the cities of Judah, ^mflocks shall again pass under the hands ⁿof the one who counts them, says the Lord.

Ezekiel 36:10

10 And ^oI will multiply people on you, the whole house of Israel, all of it. ^pThe cities shall be inhabited and the waste places rebuilt.

Zechariah 2:4

4 and said to him, “Run, say to that young man, ^q‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited ^ras villages without walls, because of ^sthe multitude of people and livestock in it.

Zechariah 8:4-8

4 Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^tOld men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. 6 Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^uIf it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, ^vshould it also be marvelous in my sight, declares the Lord of hosts? 7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, ^wI will save my people ^xfrom the east country and from the west country, 8 and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. ^yAnd they shall be my people, and I will be their God, ^zin faithfulness and in righteousness.”
