Jeremiah 33:11-13

11 athe voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring bthank offerings to the house of the Lord:

c“‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts,
for the Lord is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!’
dFor I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

12Thus says the Lord of hosts: eIn this place that is waste, without man or beast, and in all of its cities, there shall again be fhabitations of shepherds gresting their flocks. 13 hIn the cities of the hill country, iin the cities of the Shephelah, jand in the cities of the Negeb, in the land of Benjamin, kthe places about Jerusalem, land in the cities of Judah, mflocks shall again pass under the hands nof the one who counts them, says the Lord.

Ezekiel 36:10

10And oI will multiply people on you, the whole house of Israel, all of it. pThe cities shall be inhabited and the waste places rebuilt.

Zechariah 2:4

4and said to him, “Run, say to that young man, qJerusalem shall be inhabited ras villages without walls, because of sthe multitude of people and livestock in it.

Zechariah 8:4-8

4Thus says the Lord of hosts: tOld men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. 5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. 6Thus says the Lord of hosts: uIf it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, vshould it also be marvelous in my sight, declares the Lord of hosts? 7Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, wI will save my people xfrom the east country and from the west country, 8and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. yAnd they shall be my people, and I will be their God, zin faithfulness and in righteousness.”
