Jeremiah 33:17-21

17For thus says the Lord: aDavid shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel, 18 band the Levitical priests shall never lack a man in my presence to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to make sacrifices forever.”

19The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 20 cThus says the Lord: dIf you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, eso that day and night will not come at their appointed time, 21 fthen also my covenant with David my servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and my covenant with the Levitical priests my ministers.

Amos 9:11-12

The Restoration of Israel

11 “In that day gI will raise up
the booth of David that is fallen
and repair its breaches,
and raise up its ruins
and rebuild it as in the days of old,
12 hthat they may possess the remnant of Edom
and iall the nations who are called by my name,”
Hebrew; Septuagint (compare Acts 15:17)  that the remnant of mankind and all the nations who are called by my name may seek the Lord

declares the Lord who does this.

Luke 1:69-70

69and khas raised up la horn of salvation for us
