Jeremiah 33:20-26

20 aThus says the Lord: bIf you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, cso that day and night will not come at their appointed time, 21 dthen also my covenant with David my servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and my covenant with the Levitical priests my ministers. 22As ethe host of heaven cannot be numbered and fthe sands of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant, and the Levitical priests who minister to me.”

23The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 24“Have you not observed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight. 25Thus says the Lord: gIf I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth, 26then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. hFor I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

Ezekiel 37:26

26 iI will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be jan everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land

Romans 9:4-5

4They are tIsraelites, and to them belong uthe adoption, vthe glory, wthe covenants, xthe giving of the law, ythe worship, and zthe promises. 5To them belong aathe patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, abwho is God over all, acblessed forever. Amen.

8This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but adthe children of the promise are counted as offspring.

Galatians 3:16-17

16Now aethe promises were made afto Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, agAnd to your offspring,” who is Christ. 17This is what I mean: the law, which came ah430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as aito make the promise void.
