Jeremiah 38:4

4Then the officials said to the king, aLet this man be put to death, bfor he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man is not seeking cthe welfare of this people, but their harm.”

Acts 6:11-14

11Then dthey secretly instigated men who said, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.” 12And they stirred up the people and the elders and the scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and brought him before the council, 13and they eset up false fwitnesses who said, “This man never ceases to speak words against gthis holy place and the law, 14for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth hwill destroy this place and will ichange jthe customs that Moses delivered to us.”
