Jeremiah 4:10

10Then I said, “Ah, Lord God, asurely you have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘It shall be well with you,’ whereas the sword has reached their very life.”

Jeremiah 14:13-17

Lying Prophets

13Then I said: “Ah, Lord God, behold, the prophets bsay to them, ‘You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.’” 14And the Lord said to me: “The cprophets are prophesying lies in my name. dI did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, eworthless divination, and fthe deceit of their own minds. 15Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although gI did not send them, and who say, hSword and famine shall not come upon this land’: iBy sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. 16And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, jwith none to bury themthem, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.

17 “You shall say to them this word:
k‘Let my eyes run down with tears night and day,
and let them not cease,
for the virgin ldaughter of my people is shattered with a great wound,
mwith a very grievous blow.

Jeremiah 23:9

Lying Prophets

9Concerning the prophets:

nMy heart is broken within me;
oall my bones shake;
I am like a drunken man,
like a man overcome by wine,
because of the Lord
and because of his holy words.

Jeremiah 23:14

14But in the prophets of Jerusalem
I have seen a horrible thing:
pthey commit adultery and walk in lies;
qthey strengthen the hands of evildoers,
so that no one turns from his evil;
rall of them have become like Sodom to me,
sand its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”

Lamentations 2:11-14

11 tMy eyes are spent with weeping;
umy stomach churns;
vmy bile is poured out to the ground
wbecause of the destruction of the daughter of my people,
xbecause infants and babies yfaint
in the streets of the city.
12 They cry to their mothers,
zWhere is bread and wine?”
aaas they faint like a wounded man
in the streets of the city,
as their life is poured out
on their mothersbosom.
13 What can I say for you, abto what compare you,
O daughter of Jerusalem?
acWhat can I liken to you, that I may comfort you,
O virgin daughter of Zion?
adFor your ruin is vast as the sea;
who can heal you?
14 aeYour prophets have seen for you
false and deceptive visions;
afthey have not exposed your iniquity
to agrestore your fortunes,
ahbut have seen for you aioracles
that are false and misleading.

Ezekiel 9:4
