Jeremiah 4:19-20

Anguish over Judah’s Desolation

19 ^aMy anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain!
Oh the walls of my heart!
My heart is beating wildly;
I cannot keep silent,
for I hear the sound of the trumpet,
the alarm of war.
20 ^bCrash follows hard on crash;
the whole land is laid waste.
^cSuddenly my tents are laid waste,
my curtains in a moment.

Matthew 24:6-8

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you ^dare not alarmed, for this ^emust take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For ^fnation will rise against nation, and ^gkingdom against kingdom, and there will be ^hfamines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are but the beginning of ⁱthe birth pains.
