Jeremiah 4:23

23 I looked on the earth, and behold, it was ^awithout form and void;
^band to the heavens, and they had no light.

Jeremiah 4:25-27

25 ^cI looked, and behold, there was no man,
and all the birds of the air had fled.
26 I looked, and behold, the ^dfruitful land was a desert,
and all its cities were laid in ruins
before the Lord, before ^ehis fierce anger.
27 For thus says the Lord, “The whole land shall be a desolation; ^fyet I will not make a full end.

Jeremiah 9:10

10 “I will take up weeping and wailing for the mountains,
and a lamentation for ^gthe pastures of the wilderness,
^hbecause they are laid waste so that no one passes through,
and the lowing of cattle is not heard;
ⁱboth the birds of the air and the beasts
have fled and are gone.

Hosea 4:3
