Jeremiah 5:10

strip away her branches,
for they are not the Lord’s.

Ezekiel 9:8

8 And while they were striking, and I was left alone, ^dI fell upon my face, and cried, ^e“Ah, Lord God! ^fWill you destroy all the remnant of Israel ^gin the outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?”

Romans 11:1-5

The Remnant of Israel

1 I ask, then, ^mhas God rejected his people? By no means! For ⁿI myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, ^{▼▼Or one of the offspring of Abraham} a member of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 ^pGod has not rejected his people whom he ^qforeknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 3 ^r“Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” 4 But what is God’s reply to him? ^s“I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 So too at the present time there is ^ta remnant, chosen by grace.
