30And you, O desolate one,
what do you mean that you dress in scarlet,

28For thus says the Lord God: agBehold, I will deliver you into the hands of those whom you hate, ahinto the hands of those from whom you turned in disgust, 29and aithey shall deal with you in hatred and take away all the fruit of your labor ajand leave you naked and bare, and akthe nakedness of your whoring shall be uncovered. Your lewdness and your whoring 30have brought this upon you, because alyou played the whore with the nations and defiled yourself with their idols.

Hosea 2:3

3lest amI strip her naked

and make her like a parched land,
