Jeremiah 41:2

2 aIshmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men with him rose up and struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, with the sword, and killed him, bwhom the king of Babylon had appointed governor in the land.

Jeremiah 42:18

18For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: cAs my anger and my wrath were poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so my wrath will be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. dYou shall become an execration, a horror, a curse, and a taunt. You shall see this place no more.

Jeremiah 44:11-13

11Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: eBehold, I will set my face against you for harm, to cut off all Judah. 12I will take the remnant of Judah who have fset their faces to come to the land of Egypt to live, and they shall all be consumed. gIn the land of Egypt they shall fall; by the sword and by famine hthey shall be consumed. iFrom the least to the greatest, they shall die by the sword and by famine, jand they shall become an oath, a horror, ka curse, and a taunt. 13 lI will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence,

Jeremiah 52:24-30

The People Exiled to Babylon

24And the captain of the guard took mSeraiah the chief priest, and nZephaniah the second priest and the three keepers of the threshold; 25and from the city he took an officer who had been in command of the men of war, and oseven men of the king’s council, who were found in the city; and the secretary of the commander of the army, who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the midst of the city. 26And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at pRiblah. 27And the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death at qRiblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was taken into exile out of its land.

28This is the number of the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive: rin the seventh year, 3,023 Judeans; 29 sin the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem 832 persons; 30in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Judeans 745 persons; all the persons were 4,600.

Lamentations 4:13

13 This was for tthe sins of her prophets
and uthe iniquities of her priests,
who shed in the midst of her
the blood of the righteous.

Lamentations 5:12-14

12 vPrinces are hung up by their hands;
wno respect is shown to the elders.
13Young men are compelled to xgrind at the mill,
and boys stagger yunder loads of wood.
14 zThe old men have left the city gate,
the young men aatheir music.

Ezekiel 7:12-13

12 abThe time has come; the day has arrived. Let not acthe buyer rejoice, nor adthe seller mourn, aefor wrath is upon all their multitude.
Or abundance; also verses 13, 14
13For agthe seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. ahFor the vision concerns all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.
The meaning of this last Hebrew sentence is uncertain
