Jeremiah 42:3-6

3 that ^athe Lord your God may show us the way we should go, and the thing that we should do.” 4 Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your request, and ^bwhatever the Lord answers you I will tell you. ^cI will keep nothing back from you.” 5 Then they said to Jeremiah, ^d“May the Lord be a true and ^efaithful witness against us ^fif we do not act according to all the word ^gwith which the Lord your God sends you to us. 6 Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we are sending you, ^hthat it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.”

Matthew 22:16-17

16 And they sent ⁱtheir disciples to him, along with ^jthe Herodians, saying, “Teacher, ^kwe know that you are true and teach ^lthe way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for ^myou are not swayed by appearances. ^{▼▼Greek for you do not look at people’s faces} 17 Tell us, then, what you think.
