Jeremiah 47:1

Judgment on the Philistines

1The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet aconcerning the Philistines, before Pharaoh struck down bGaza.

Amos 1:6-8

6Thus says the Lord:

c“For three transgressions of dGaza,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because ethey carried into exile a whole people
to deliver them up to Edom.
7So I will send a fire upon the wall of fGaza,
and it shall devour her strongholds.
8I will cut off the inhabitants from gAshdod,
and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon;
I will turn my hand against Ekron,
and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish,”

says the Lord God.

Zephaniah 2:4-7

4 hFor Gaza shall be deserted,
and Ashkelon shall become a desolation;
Ashdod’s people shall be driven out at noon,
and Ekron shall be uprooted.
5 Woe to iyou inhabitants of the seacoast,
you nation of jthe Cherethites!
kThe word of the Lord is against you,
lO Canaan, land of the Philistines;
and I will destroy you muntil no inhabitant is left.
6 nAnd you, O seacoast, oshall be pastures,
with meadows
Or caves
for shepherds
and folds for flocks.
7 qThe seacoast shall become the possession
of rthe remnant of the house of Judah,
son which they shall graze,
and in the houses of Ashkelon
they shall lie down at evening.
For the Lord their God twill be mindful of them
and urestore their fortunes.

Zechariah 9:5-7

5 vAshkelon shall see it, and be afraid;
Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish;
Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded.
The king shall perish from Gaza;
Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;
6 wa mixed people
Or  a foreign people; Hebrew  a bastard
shall dwell in Ashdod,
and I will cut off the pride of Philistia.
7I will take away yits blood from its mouth,
and zits abominations from between its teeth;
aait too shall be a remnant for our God;
it shall be like aba clan in Judah,
and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.
