Jeremiah 5:31

31 ^athe prophets prophesy falsely,
and the priests rule at their direction;
^bmy people love to have it so,
but what will you do when the end comes?

Jeremiah 23:11-15

11 ^c“Both prophet and priest are ungodly;
even ^din my house I have found their evil,

declares the Lord.
12 ^eTherefore their way shall be to them
like slippery paths ^fin the darkness,
into which they shall be driven and fall,
for I will bring disaster upon them
^gin the year of their punishment,

declares the Lord.
13 In the prophets of ^hSamaria
ⁱI saw an unsavory thing:
^jthey prophesied by Baal
^kand led my people Israel astray.
14 But in the prophets of Jerusalem
I have seen a horrible thing:
^lthey commit adultery and walk in lies;
^mthey strengthen the hands of evildoers,
so that no one turns from his evil;
ⁿall of them have become like Sodom to me,
^oand its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”
15 Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets:
^p“Behold, I will feed them with bitter food
^qand give them ^rpoisoned water to drink,
for from the prophets of Jerusalem
ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”

Ezekiel 22:25-26

25 ^sThe conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is ^tlike a roaring lion ^utearing the prey; they have devoured human lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst. 26 ^vHer priests ^whave done violence to my law and ^xhave profaned my holy things. ^yThey have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and ^zthey have disregarded my Sabbaths, ^aaso that I am profaned among them.

Micah 3:11

11 ^abIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
^acits priests teach for a price;
^adits prophets practice divination for money;
^aeyet they lean on the Lord and ^afsay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
^agNo disaster shall come upon us.”

Zephaniah 3:4

Matthew 21:15
