Jeremiah 5:31

31 athe prophets prophesy falsely,
and the priests rule at their direction;
bmy people love to have it so,
but what will you do when the end comes?

Jeremiah 6:13

13 cFor from the least to the greatest of them,
everyone dis greedy for unjust gain;
and from eprophet to priest,
everyone deals falsely.

Jeremiah 14:14

14And the Lord said to me: “The fprophets are prophesying lies in my name. gI did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, hworthless divination, and ithe deceit of their own minds.

Jeremiah 23:11-21

11 jBoth prophet and priest are ungodly;
even kin my house I have found their evil,

declares the Lord.
12 lTherefore their way shall be to them
like slippery paths min the darkness,
into which they shall be driven and fall,
for I will bring disaster upon them
nin the year of their punishment,

declares the Lord.
13In the prophets of oSamaria
pI saw an unsavory thing:
qthey prophesied by Baal
rand led my people Israel astray.
14But in the prophets of Jerusalem
I have seen a horrible thing:
sthey commit adultery and walk in lies;
tthey strengthen the hands of evildoers,
so that no one turns from his evil;
uall of them have become like Sodom to me,
vand its inhabitants like Gomorrah.”
15Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets:
wBehold, I will feed them with bitter food
xand give them ypoisoned water to drink,
for from the prophets of Jerusalem
ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”
16Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, zfilling you with vain hopes. aaThey speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. 17They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, ab‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who acstubbornly follows his own heart, they say, adNo disaster shall come upon you.’”

18 For aewho among them has stood in the council of the Lord
to see and to hear his word,
or who has paid attention to his word and listened?
19 afBehold, the storm of the Lord!
Wrath has gone forth,
aga whirling tempest;
it will burst upon the head of the wicked.
20 ahThe anger of the Lord will not turn back
until he has executed and aiaccomplished
the intents of his heart.
ajIn the latter days you will understand it clearly.
21 ak“I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them,
yet they prophesied.

Lamentations 2:14

14 alYour prophets have seen for you
false and deceptive visions;
amthey have not exposed your iniquity
to anrestore your fortunes,
aobut have seen for you aporacles
that are false and misleading.

Ezekiel 22:26-28

26 aqHer priests arhave done violence to my law and ashave profaned my holy things. atThey have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and authey have disregarded my Sabbaths, avso that I am profaned among them. 27 awHer princes in her midst are like wolves axtearing the prey, ayshedding blood, destroying lives to get dishonest gain. 28And azher prophets have smeared whitewash for them, baseeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken.

Micah 3:11-12

11 bbIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
bcits priests teach for a price;
bdits prophets practice divination for money;
beyet they lean on the Lord and bfsay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
bgNo disaster shall come upon us.”
12Therefore because of you
bhZion shall be plowed as a field;
Jerusalem bishall become a heap of ruins,
and bjthe mountain of the house bka wooded height.
