36 Therefore thus says the Lord:
“Behold, ^aI will plead your cause
and take vengeance for you.
^bI will dry up her sea
and ^cmake her fountain dry,
37 and Babylon shall become ^da heap of ruins,
^ethe haunt of jackals,
^fa horror ^gand a hissing,
without inhabitant.
