Jeremiah 52:6-7

6On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land. 7Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled and went out from the city by night by the way of a gate between the two walls, by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

Lamentations 1:20

20 Look, O Lord, for I am in distress;
amy stomach churns;
my heart is wrung within me,
because I have been very rebellious.
bIn the street the sword bereaves;
in the house it is like death.

Lamentations 4:9

9 Happier were the victims of the sword
than the victims of hunger,
who wasted away, pierced
by lack of the fruits of the field.

Ezekiel 7:15

15 cThe sword is without; pestilence and famine are within. dHe who is in the field dies by the sword, eand him who is in the city famine and pestilence devour.
