Jeremiah 7:4-10

4 aDo not trust in these deceptive words: ‘This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’

5For if you truly bamend your ways and your deeds, if you truly cexecute justice one with another, 6if you ddo not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, eor shed innocent blood in this place, fand if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, 7 gthen I will let you dwell in this place, hin the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.

8Behold, you trust in deceptive words to no avail. 9 iWill you steal, murder, commit adultery, jswear falsely, kmake offerings to Baal, land go after other gods that you have not known, 10and then come and stand before me in this house, mwhich is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—only to go on doing all these abominations?

Zephaniah 3:11

11 n“On that day oyou shall not be put to shame
because of the deeds by which you have rebelled against me;
for then pI will remove from your midst
your proudly exultant ones,
and qyou shall no longer be haughty
in my holy mountain.
