Jeremiah 7:9-10

9 aWill you steal, murder, commit adultery, bswear falsely, cmake offerings to Baal, dand go after other gods that you have not known, 10and then come and stand before me in this house, ewhich is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—only to go on doing all these abominations?

Malachi 1:9-10

9And now fentreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, gwill he show favor to any of you? says the Lord of hosts. 10 hOh that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of hosts, iand I will not accept an offering from your hand.

Acts 10:2

2a devout man jwho feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.

Acts 10:4

4And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms khave ascended las a memorial before God.
