Jeremiah 8:4-6

Sin and Treachery

4 “You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord:
^aWhen men fall, do they not rise again?
If one turns away, does he not return?
5 Why then has this people ^bturned away
in perpetual ^cbacksliding?
^dThey hold fast to deceit;
they refuse to return.
6 ^eI have paid attention and listened,
but they have not spoken rightly;
no man relents of his evil,
saying, ‘What have I done?’
Everyone turns to his own course,
^flike a horse plunging headlong into battle.

Romans 2:4-5

4 Or do you presume on ^gthe riches of his kindness and ^hforbearance and ⁱpatience, ^jnot knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are ^kstoring up ^lwrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

Romans 9:22

22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience ^mvessels of wrath ⁿprepared for destruction,

1 Peter 3:20

Revelation of John 9:20-21
