Sin and Treachery

4 “You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord:
aWhen men fall, do they not rise again?
If one turns away, does he not return?
5Why then has this people bturned away
in perpetual cbacksliding?
dThey hold fast to deceit;
they refuse to return.
6 eI have paid attention and listened,
but they have not spoken rightly;
no man relents of his evil,
saying, ‘What have I done?’
Everyone turns to his own course,
flike a horse plunging headlong into battle.

Romans 2:4-5

4Or do you presume on gthe riches of his kindness and hforbearance and ipatience, jnot knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are kstoring up lwrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.
