Job 1:5

5And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and aconsecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and boffer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and ccursed
The Hebrew word bless is used euphemistically for curse in 1:5, 11; 2:5, 9
God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.

Job 42:8-9

8Now therefore take eseven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and foffer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall gpray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” 9 hSo Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did what the Lord had told them, and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.

Jeremiah 7:16

16“As for you, ido not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer for them, and do not intercede with me, for I will not hear you.

Jeremiah 11:14

14“Therefore jdo not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer on their behalf, kfor I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their trouble.

Jeremiah 14:11-12

11The Lord said to me: l“Do not pray for the welfare of this people. 12Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, mand though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them nby the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”

Jeremiah 15:1

The Lord Will Not Relent

1Then the Lord said to me, o“Though pMoses qand Samuel rstood before me, yet my heart would not turn toward this people. Send them out of my sight, and let them go!
