Job 1:8-11

8 And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you ^aconsidered my ^bservant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, ^ca blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” 9 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? 10 Have you not put ^da hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have ^eblessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But ^fstretch out your hand and ^gtouch all that he has, and he will ^hcurse you ⁱto your face.”

Job 2:4-6

4 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! All that a man has he will give for his life. 5 But ^jstretch out your hand and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will ^kcurse you to your face.” 6 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

John 8:44

44 ^lYou are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. ^mHe was a murderer from the beginning, and ⁿdoes not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. ^oWhen he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Acts 5:3-4

3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has ^pSatan filled your heart to lie ^qto the Holy Spirit and ^rto keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? 4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but ^sto God.”

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan ^twith all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for ^uthose who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

Some Will Depart from the Faith
