Job 12:13-25

13 a“With God
Hebrew him
are wisdom and might;
he has counsel and understanding.
14If he tears down, none can rebuild;
if he cshuts a man in, none can open.
15If he dwithholds the waters, they dry up;
if he esends them out, they overwhelm the land.
16With him are strength and fsound wisdom;
the deceived and the deceiver are his.
17He leads gcounselors away stripped,
and hjudges he makes fools.
18He ilooses the bonds of kings
and binds a waistcloth on their hips.
19He leads priests away stripped
and overthrows the mighty.
20He deprives of speech those who are trusted
jand takes away the discernment of the elders.
21He kpours contempt on princes
and loosens the belt of the strong.
22He luncovers the deeps out of darkness
and brings mdeep darkness to light.
23He nmakes nations great, and he destroys them;
he enlarges nations, and oleads them away.
24He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth
and pmakes them wander in a trackless waste.
25They qgrope in the dark without light,
and he makes them rstagger like a drunken man.

Job 26:5-14

5The sdead tremble
under the waters and their inhabitants.
6Sheol is tnaked before God,
Hebrew him

and vAbaddon has no covering.
7He wstretches out the north over xthe void
and hangs the earth on nothing.
8He ybinds up the waters in his thick clouds,
and the cloud is not split open under them.
9He covers the face of the full moon
Or his throne

and aaspreads over it his cloud.
10He has inscribed aba circle on the face of the waters
at the boundary between light and darkness.
11 acThe pillars of heaven tremble
and are astounded at his adrebuke.
12By his power he aestilled the sea;
by his understanding he shattered afRahab.
13 agBy his wind the heavens were made fair;
his hand pierced ahthe fleeing serpent.
14Behold, these are but the outskirts of his aiways,
and how small aja whisper do we hear of him!
But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

Psalms 28:5

5Because they akdo not regard the works of the Lord
or the work of his hands,
he will tear them down and build them up no more.
