Isaiah 5:21

and shrewd in their own sight!

Jeremiah 9:23

23Thus says the Lord: e“Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches,

1 Corinthians 1:19-21

19For it is written,

i“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
20 jWhere is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? kHas not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach
Or  the folly of preaching
to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

27But mGod chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; nGod chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28God chose what is low and despised in the world, even othings that are not, to pbring to nothing things that are, 29so qthat no human being
Greek  no flesh
might boast in the presence of God.
