4 I am ^aa laughingstock to my friends;
I, who ^bcalled to God and he answered me,
a just and blameless man, am a laughingstock.

10 Men have ^cgaped at me with their mouth;
they have ^dstruck me insolently on the cheek;
they ^emass themselves together against me.

20 My friends ^fscorn me;
my eye pours out tears to God,

2 Surely there are mockers about me,
and my eye dwells on their ^gprovocation.

6 “He has made me ^ha byword of the peoples,
and I am one before whom men spit.

22 Why do you, like God, ⁱpursue me?
Why are you not satisfied with my flesh?
