Job 13:18-23

18Behold, I have aprepared my case;
I know that I shall be in the right.
19 bWho is there who will contend with me?
For then I would be silent and die.
20Only grant me two things,
then I will not chide myself from your face:
21 dwithdraw your hand far from me,
and let not edread of you terrify me.
22 fThen call, and I will answer;
or let me speak, and you reply to me.
23How many are my iniquities and my sins?
gMake me know my transgression and my sin.

Job 23:3-7

3Oh, hthat I knew where I might find him,
that I might come even to his iseat!
4I would jlay my case before him
and fill my mouth with arguments.
5I would know what he would answer me
and understand what he would say to me.
6Would he kcontend with me in the greatness of his power?
No; he would pay attention to me.
7There an upright man could argue with him,
and I would be acquitted forever by my judge.

Psalms 143:2

2 lEnter not into judgment with your servant,
for no one living is righteous mbefore you.
