Job 15:14

14 aWhat is man, bthat he can be pure?
Or he who is cborn of a woman, that he can be righteous?

Matthew 13:33-35

33He told them another parable. d“The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in ethree measures of flour, till it was fall leavened.”

Prophecy and Parables

34 gAll these things Jesus said to the crowds in parables; indeed, he said nothing to them without a parable. 35This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet:
Some manuscripts Isaiah the prophet

i“I will open my mouth in parables;
jI will utter what has been hidden ksince the foundation of the world.”

John 3:3

3Jesus answered him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is lborn magain
Or from above; the Greek is purposely ambiguous and can mean both  again and from above; also verse 7
he cannot osee the kingdom of God.”

Romans 3:9-19

No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jews
Greek  Are we
any better off?
Or at any disadvantage?
No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both rJews and sGreeks, are tunder sin,
10as it is written:

u“None is righteous, no, not one;
11no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
13 vTheir throat is wan open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
x“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14 yTheir mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 zTheir feet are swift to shed blood;
16in their paths are ruin and misery,
17and aathe way of peace they have not known.”
18 ab“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19Now we know that whatever acthe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, adso that every mouth may be stopped, and aethe whole world may be held accountable to God.

Romans 9:22-25

22What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience afvessels of wrath agprepared for destruction, 23in order to make known ahthe riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he aihas prepared beforehand for glory 24even us whom he ajhas called, aknot from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? 25As indeed he says in Hosea,

al“Those who were not my people I will callmy people,’
and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’”

Romans 12:1-2

A Living Sacrifice

1 amI appeal to you therefore, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters
by the mercies of God, aoto present your bodies apas a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Or your rational service
2 arDo not be conformed to this world,
Greek age
but be transformed by atthe renewal of your mind, that by testing you may audiscern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Or  what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God

Ephesians 4:22-24

22to awput off axyour old self,
Greek man; also verse 24
which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through azdeceitful desires,
23and bato be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24and to put on bbthe new self, bccreated after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
