Job 15:20-27

20The wicked man writhes in pain all his days,
through all the ayears that are laid up for bthe ruthless.
21 cDreadful sounds are in his ears;
in dprosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
22He does not believe that he will return out of darkness,
and he is marked for the sword.
23He ewanders abroad for bread, saying, ‘Where is it?’
He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand;
24distress and anguish terrify him;
they fprevail against him, like a king ready for battle.
25Because he has stretched out his hand against God
and defies the Almighty,
26 grunning hstubbornly against him
with a thickly bossed shield;
27because he has icovered his face with his fat
and gathered fat upon his waist

Job 20:19-27

19For he has crushed and abandoned the poor;

20 Because he jknew no kcontentment in his belly,
lhe will not let anything in which he delights escape him.
21There was nothing left after he had eaten;
therefore his prosperity will not endure.
22In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in distress;
the hand of everyone in misery will come against him.
23To fill his belly to the full,
God
Hebrew he
will send his burning anger against him
and rain it upon him ninto his body.
24 oHe will flee from an iron weapon;
pa bronze arrow will strike qhim through.
25It ris drawn forth and comes out of his body;
sthe glittering point comes out of his tgallbladder;
uterrors come upon him.
26Utter darkness is laid up for his treasures;
va fire not fanned will devour him;
what is left in his tent will be consumed.
27 wThe heavens will reveal his iniquity,
and the earth will rise up against him.

18 Truly you set them in xslippery places;

19How they are destroyed yin a moment,

20Like aaa dream when one awakes,
O Lord, when abyou rouse yourself, you despise them as phantoms.

Isaiah 21:2-4

and the destroyer destroys.
Go up, O adElam;
lay siege, O aeMedia;
all the afsighing she has caused
I bring to an end.
3Therefore my loins are filled with anguish;
agpangs have seized me,
like the pangs of a woman in labor;
I am bowed down so that I cannot hear;
I am dismayed so that I cannot see.
4My heart staggers; horror has appalled me;
ahthe twilight I longed for
has been turned for me into trembling.
