Job 15:20-35

20The wicked man writhes in pain all his days,
through all the ayears that are laid up for bthe ruthless.
21 cDreadful sounds are in his ears;
in dprosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
22He does not believe that he will return out of darkness,
and he is marked for the sword.
23He ewanders abroad for bread, saying, ‘Where is it?’
He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand;
24distress and anguish terrify him;
they fprevail against him, like a king ready for battle.
25Because he has stretched out his hand against God
and defies the Almighty,
26 grunning hstubbornly against him
with a thickly bossed shield;
27because he has icovered his face with his fat
and gathered fat upon his waist
28and has lived in desolate cities,
in houses that none should inhabit,
which were ready to become heaps of ruins;
29he will not be rich, and his wealth will not endure,
nor will his possessions spread over the earth;
Or  nor will his produce bend down to the earth

30he will not depart from darkness;
the flame will dry up his shoots,
and by kthe breath of his mouth he will depart.
31Let him not ltrust in emptiness, deceiving himself,
for emptiness will be his payment.
32It will be paid in full mbefore his time,
and his branch will not be green.
33He will shake off his unripe grape like the vine,
and cast off his blossom like the olive tree.
34For nthe company of the godless is barren,
and ofire consumes the tents of bribery.
35They pconceive trouble and give birth to evil,
and their qwomb prepares deceit.”

Job 20:19-29

19For he has crushed and abandoned the poor;
he has seized a house that he did not build.
20 Because he rknew no scontentment in his belly,
the will not let anything in which he delights escape him.
21There was nothing left after he had eaten;
therefore his prosperity will not endure.
22In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in distress;
the hand of everyone in misery will come against him.
23To fill his belly to the full,
God
Hebrew he
will send his burning anger against him
and rain it upon him vinto his body.
24 wHe will flee from an iron weapon;
xa bronze arrow will strike yhim through.
25It zis drawn forth and comes out of his body;
aathe glittering point comes out of his abgallbladder;
acterrors come upon him.
26Utter darkness is laid up for his treasures;
ada fire not fanned will devour him;
what is left in his tent will be consumed.
27 aeThe heavens will reveal his iniquity,
and the earth will rise up against him.
28The possessions of his house will be carried away,
dragged off in the day of God’s
Hebrew his
wrath.
29 agThis is the wicked man’s portion from God,
ahthe heritage decreed for him by God.”

ajI will now arise,” says the Lord;
“I will place him in the aksafety for which he longs.”

22 alDo not rob the poor, because he is poor,
or amcrush the afflicted at anthe gate,
23for aothe Lord will plead their cause

5“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be apa swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those aqwho oppress the hired worker in his wages, arthe widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

James 5:4-6

4Behold, asthe wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and atthe cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of authe Lord of hosts. 5 avYou have lived on the earth in luxury and awin self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in axa day of slaughter. 6You have condemned and aymurdered azthe righteous person. He does not resist you.
