Job 15:30

30he will not depart from darkness;
the flame will dry up his shoots,
and by athe breath of his mouth he will depart.

Psalms 80:15

15the stock that your right hand planted,
and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.

Isaiah 14:19

19but you are cast out, away from your grave,
like a loathed branch,
bclothed with the slain, those pierced by the sword,
who go down to the stones of the pit,
like a dead body trampled underfoot.

Isaiah 27:10

10 cFor the fortified city is solitary,
a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness;
there the calf grazes;
there it lies down and strips its branches.

Ezekiel 15:3-7

3Is wood taken from it to make anything? Do people take da peg from it to hang any vessel on it? 4 eBehold, it is given to the fire for fuel. When the fire has consumed both ends of it, and the middle of it is charred, is it useful for anything? 5 fBehold, when it was whole, it was used for nothing. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it ever be used for anything! 6Therefore thus says the Lord God: gLike the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, hwhich I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7 iAnd I will set my face against them. Though jthey escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them, kand you will know that I am the Lord, lwhen I set my face against them.

Ezekiel 17:9

9Say, Thus says the Lord God: mWill it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, so that it withers, so that all its fresh sprouting leaves wither? It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it from its roots.

Ezekiel 19:12-14

12But the vine was plucked up in fury,
cast down to the ground;
nthe east wind dried up its fruit;
they were stripped off and withered.
As for its strong stem,
fire consumed it.
13 oNow it is planted in the wilderness,
in a dry and thirsty land.
14 pAnd fire has gone out from the stem of its shoots,
has consumed its fruit,
qso that there remains in it no strong stem,
no scepter for ruling.
This is ra lamentation and has become a lamentation.
